visibilities will mainly be in the 1 to 3 mile range, there could be 
localized areas with visibilities down to one quarter mile or less at times. Motorist

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Connecticut...
Connecticut River At Middle Haddam affecting Middlesex County
For the lower Connecticut River, near Haddam and points south - NASA
Modis satellite imagery indicated that there were 2 ice jams frozen
in place on the lower Connecticut River. The longer of the two
originates at the East Haddam Bridge and is several miles long
upstream. The second ice field is located further south downstream
along the river channel. The ice jams are restricting the amount
of water able to move downstream.
Expect continued ice jam flooding into at least Wednesday. Small
fluctuations in water levels are possible due to the ice jams.
The Flood Warning continues for
The Connecticut River At Middle Haddam.
* until further notice...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  6:55 PM Monday the stage was 7.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.2 feet by
tomorrow late evening then begin falling.
* Impact...At 8.0 feet...Flooding is expected in low lying sections
along the Connecticut River from Wethersfield and Glastonbury
downstream through Cromwell, Middletown and Portland. Boating
interests should prepare for a period of swift river flows.
